BB’s Hideaway formerly Just Inn Resort located in Upper Balud, Dalaguete. Prior to our arrival while i was still in Boracay, i find it hard to contact the resort. The telephone number is unreachable and there is no website working. So i told Ate Mar to just have faith and will visit the resort once we arrive since it was Sunday so most probably guests will checked out.
It was our first visit in Dalaguete with my brother Ronnel, cousins Inday Desire, Maures and Wendell. The 6 of us really does not know the exact drop off point in Dalaguete. It was only my friend “Amal” who directed us to tell the bus driver to drop us a few meters away from Obong Resort or Obong Elementary School. Luckily, we have meet this super smiling and friendly bus conductor who asked us where would we going. So we “tell all”. Shockingly, most of the passenger whom i assume where all from Dalaguete willingly help us and even dropped us right in the crossing of the street beside the Cemetery.
I don’t have no photo of the cemetery but it was an opposite to what they’ve told us that we are going to walk, its a long walk from the cemetery towards BB’s Hideaway/ Just Inn. The resort was located away from the cemetery though. You will only have to walk just a few meters or 1 a minute walk passing the cemetery. Ate Mar, I’m sure felt relaxed! hahahaha
In less than 10 minutes we arrived at BB’s Hideaway’s entrance. To make sure, we asked the Habal-habal driver if this was really the entrance of the resort. Unfortunately he told us it was not. He signaled his hand to walk through. We were doubtful to walk since the signage says it was the place. Luckily again, there was a concerned citizen, a Nanay, who asked us where would we going. And then we were on the right place where we where standing. Mga Tanga jud. Ambot naman lang jud katanga. Nganong nangutana pa.
It was around 8PM when we arrived. the gate was already closed but there were staffs inside who opened us. Luckily na naman, there were vacant rooms. Tsaraaaaaan. They have this big villa which is good for 6 pax and can accommodate even up to 10 pax. If you were on a budget travel you should book here. Anyway, you don’t need a luxurious accommodation when you are going to Osmena Peak.
The place was safe. I CAN TELL YOU! it is really safe not just us but of course for all of your belongings. I can’t tell you how and why but my assurance is that the safety and privacy was properly in placed! Check out their website, finally they got one. http://bbs-hideaway.com/
HOW TO GET THERE
If you are in Cebu better go directly to South or North Bus Terminal. However, there would be a lot of buses plying over the road. Just look for buses travelling via Liloan, Bato, Santander, and Alcoy. These buses will pass through Dalaguete. Asked the Driver or have a little chitchat with some passengers or the bus conductor where to be drop. There is a lot of resorts in Dalaguete but i highly recommend BB’s Hideaway for simplicity, the ambiance of a kubo style accommodation . Tell the driver or the bus conductor to drop you at Upper Balud Cemetery, where you will find the big directional sign of BB’s Hideaway Resort.
When we I was about to change my outfit to soak my tired beach body in a pool we all got shocked. WHY? This was the real story:
We were in Naga City waiting for a Bus going to Dalaguete. We could not find any bus which bore a sign of “Dalaguete”. I think there were more than 10 buses already passed us going to Nort area also. BATO, LILOAN etc. When we are already bored that it took us more than 3 minutes on the road ate Mar decided to ask the bus conductor if thier bus would pass through Dalaguete. We have been lucky that God always provide us what we need. So we hop in the Bus travelling via ALCOY.
Because we were all amazed by the hospitality of the passengers, we all excitedly get off from the bus. Back to changing of outfits, we noticed that my expensive bag was still in the bus. hahahahaha. I was not mad and even care buying some clothes in the market because I know, God Will Provide. He will provide a way in order to get my bag back.
Luckily for many times. My friend Amal texted me of whereabouts. So I told him the scenario and immediately replied to go to Alcoy terminal to get the bag. If we rode via Liloan, for God sake i think i will be dead. Luckily again, we rode via Alcoy because it was a less than 30 minute motorcycle ride from Dalaguete. Tsaraaaaaan, the smiling bus conductor was still there. Thanks God!
The time we got back at the resort with Maures and Amal, we finally had dinner. We can cook or order your favorite danggit, sikwate, boiled egg, pancit canton, french fries et cetera. There were only 2 ladies serving us so you will noticed much time preparing the food.
We had the place exclusive for us. EXCLUSIVE in the sense that we are the only guests by that time. The planned night swimming didnt push through becasue we are still waiting for our foods. When these arrived it was already 10:30PM and the pool will be close at 11PM. Anyway we spent our time chatting, laughing out loud at the restaurant.
We planned to climb the Osmena Peak early and that we need a light breakfast at exactly 4AM. The server asked us if we were sure of the time. YES! A BIG YES! Unfortunately, i heard ate Mar saying “Hoy alas 4 na”. To my surprised, it was already past 5AM. Tsaraaaaaaan, i heard NO alarm! either of us! None None None.
The Food? Oh yeah, it was a hell good!
Villa 1 Php 1,200 (good for 4 pax, P100.00 per extra person, maximum of 10 pax)
Food Breakfast and Dinner ( i forgot the whole amount but it was inexpensive.
Pool P75.00 per pax
Resort to Town- you can just walk from resort to the main road. Then get a tricycle to town which is P8.00 per pax.
